That was the longest journey of my life.

We talked a bit.

We laughed a lot.

And I fought with my thoughts.

They say that your heart and your mind are different entities, sometimes. But there's something strange about my own. Half of my mind has it's own, rational thoughts, but the other half goes along with my heart.

"FULL SPEED AHEAD!" It cries in encouragement, even though it knows it's wrong.

It has to be wrong, because you never want to agree with it. And you're always right. Always. You're too wonderfully smart to ever be wrong.

But that journey... Not even the smaller part of my mind could have prepared me for that.

It hurt to keep my hand in my pocket - to keep it away from yours. I longed to reach out to you, to feel the warm, soft skin of your hand, feel your fingers snake between mine...

To look at you, and see the same love in your eyes that appears in mine.

Is it any wonder that I want to see that look from you?

Is it even possible that I could?
